Walks in early July
Walks in early July
I know that it's hot in July but I'd be interested in any walks in early July as I'm in cvo from 4 to 10 July and the ones advertised in Portugal News have so many people on them at this time of year. It's always good to see a few different places and a meet a few new and old friends.
Re: Walks in early July
Hi Caroline....try a Hash on monday 8 July at 6pm when its cooler .....if interested, PM me for details.....or ask Mike28 if he & Su can round up a few people...unfortunately, we won't be there...Geoff
Re: Walks in early July

Re: Walks in early July
Hi Caroline and anyone else who's around. We are happy to come up with a walk if there is any interest? Su & Mike
Re: Walks in early July

Re: Walks in early July
Hi Caroline, how about a walk on Monday 8th?
Are you happy to travel to, say, north of Loulé where we should be able to find some walks with a little shade or is that too far from CVO. If you can let me know then i'll know which walks to consider.
Mike.

Re: Walks in early July
Hi Mike - north of Loule would be great as it's somewhere different and Monday would be perfect. It may just be me walking as the friend I'm holidaying with isn't keen on walking when it's hot although I will see what I can do. Hopefully there will be others who want to venture out. Caroline
Re: Walk Monday 8th July, Amendoeira
This walk is the "Percurso Pedestre Amendoeira, PR11 LLE" walk. Distance 8kM, Duration about 2.5 hours.
There is a cafe at the start/finish for refreshments.
Not too much climbing & the paths are generally good, it is advisable to wear boots & have a stick but good trainers should suffice.
Bearing in mind the time of year, bring some water and a hat.
Usual caveat...All walks are at your own risk.
Directions :
The walk starts and finishes in the village of Amendoeira, North East of Loulé, on the M523 road (coordinates N37.17313 W7.96266)
Pop the above coordinates into google Maps search box for detailed map
Meet at the Mateus Café in Amendoeira for a 10:00hrs start.
Any queries please ring Mike on 937658245

Re: Walks in later July
Is there any walks from the 17thy onwards
Re: Walks in early July
Hi Foxy, I think the last walk was pushing it really, so we'll wait until September now I think. There may be other mad dogs and Englishmen out there though, who knows?

I reckon December would be a good time for a small walk or two.28teacher wrote:Hi Foxy, I think the last walk was pushing it really, so we'll wait until September now I think. There may be other mad dogs and Englishmen out there though, who knows?
