JF
Will forgo the lava lamp and in stead stick to lots of VODKA with a splash of freshly squeezed OJ. No sign of anyone installing the stone. 'Maybe tomorrow. Off to LM again in the morning to find some more screws etc. Also need to get the outside 12v pool lighting.
So sad we are nearly at the end of tins trip. But know we are coming back in 4 weeks with our friends. This time however we just have to stay in Casa Tranquila. Men working hard digging up the road and drive to link the water up. Only problem being is how do AR's get in to deliver the rest of the furniture at 12 on Friday. Opps!

Well from what I have read this week from you , the minute the Licys are in town the builders are doing a John Travolta and seem to be working like Grease Lightning!

If your guests for Xmas at Casa Tranquilla get trowels and spirit levels gift-wrapped, well they will have no fear of being bored or nothing to do over the festive season.

I am sure the first the first Chrismas in your fab new home will be okay. At least Santa will have a brand new gleaming chimney to climb down to! 8)

Have a safe journey back home

We do have the fan chimney for a very skinny Santa so long as he can break open the fan.  Thanks for the good wishes. we will be doing a few more bits in March when the family join us, such as pool wall and kitchen cupboard lighting, shelving and maybe a bit of planting up.

my hubby will be very busy on 30 th December putting up curtain poles, although all the drilling has been done. will have to finish making beds and putting on covers, put up Tv's, unwrap sofas, screw together terrace furniture, then make sure all my kitchen bits and pieces are taken back out of the cupboards and put back properly. should then be all ready for bed that night. hope we actually get our front door key by then as nothing so far other than kitchen key.

Providing Santa does not gorge himself on food from Iceland while making deliveries in the Algarve he may be able to sort-of make his way down that the rather thin chimney duct in Casa Tequila! :D

By my calculation you should be back in the UK, depressed now .............but you will be back out there again in 4 weeks time you lucky things you!

Licy, you should not wish your life away but wanting four weeks to quickly pass to the end of the month before you are back in your fab new des res in the sunshine is permitted! :D

Just returned from a week in sunny Carvoeiro. We were suprised to find absolutely no change in our freesat tv reception. Still the same reception as we had in October last year. After all the remarks on this website I was expecting nothing. But no all is fine at the moment with our small 7 year old dish and freesat box.

There are clearly many " opportunists " out there looking to take advantage of the when, if, maybe loss of UK tv ( new sat launches next month )..
I have seen one add which apart from overcharging for an IPTV box also requires a monthly " mainenance charge.( E270/annum )
What do they do for this, have they got their own team of " tiny, tiny robots " who will check all your wiring and connections in your system. :D
Some out of ignorance will of course fall for this.

The explosion just after launch or a russian rocket at the same site the new astra 2e was to come from could mean at least a 2-3 month delay or put another way UK TV as we currently receive it should last until at least early Dec.
Not so good news for those trying to flog alternatve systems for which they is no need for some time yet.

Thanks for that EMM. Glad that nobody appears to have been injured or killed in that accident.

Significant delays
The next Proton-M launch on the docket is currently set to take place July 20 and deliver the Astra 2E communications satellite to orbit. That mission will probably be significantly delayed due to the Proton investigation.

pity it wasn't the astra 2E that was on board. (or is that too un PC?)
