Hemingways
Ive always liked this bar and got to know the owners & people who work in there quite well, Hazel (who, helped me when I was followed by a big Russian/I was so frightened...she & a man at the bar walked me home to my apartment)...
and Murray who is very nice too. Pat became a friend too and Paula who once worked there/keep wondering if shes back there?
You don't only get nice drinks/cocktails but you can get very nice lunches too..Ive had jacket potatoes & salad..and Pat makes a very good sandwich
I find it a 'cosy' place to be..just the right size.
When we retire there (soon I hope) I will take Hub there(hes never been) and Im sure he'll like it as much as me.
Try it

Re: Hemingways
Friendliest and best bar in town. If Ivan is still there it even has Canadian content.

Where is this bar?
Re: Hemingways
Its half way up the out road, has free wi fi and TV set to Sky or Eurosport.
In the winter it is on the sunny side of the street so good for a morning coffee ( if they are open ).

Last year we found that Angela,( from many years at Oasis across the street) was working there. They have free WiFi also. Sorry I see that has been mentioned already!
Re: Hemingways
Ivan's off to Canada for 4 months(?) on the 23rd I think. But there's usually a few Canadians in there through the winter months.

Re: Hemingways
Murray and Hazel always make you welcome my wife and I have been visiting Hemmingways for the past 4yrs now, well maybe me more than my wife as I watch all the United games there when they are on the telly,Murray had quite a lot on his plate last year when Hazel had to go back to the UK to have little Grace, how ever Murray always had time to have a chat with you what ever the circumstances. It's a friendly bar which I will continue to visit I just wish they served SAGRES instead of SUPER BOCK anyway Ha Ho.
