Has anyone ever tried the restaurant at Vila Domilu, Alfanzina? If so, what was it like and would you recommend it?

well you could go ALL THE WAY to Alfanzina then drive ALL THE WAY BACK to Vila Domilu along the Benagil road, nice drive. It's closer to Poco Partido than it is to Alfanzina. You can't believe everything you read in books or the Internet
It is very up market and I'm not sure if you can just go in for dinner unless you are staying there, you can't even see it from the road very high hedges. Very quiet and private, lovely.

Hiya DJ Sull, The Vila Domilu is as said an upmarket hotel. You have to be a resident to eat there. We are contemplating staying there for a long weekend and splash out in more ways than one. However, they do have a web site and an email address and despite emailing them twice in regards to our maybe stay, depending on whether or not it is too cost prohibitive, we have had no reply.
We did go and have a look around the vast estate, that used to be someones private residence, and it is very beautiful, with glorious rooms, fantastic swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, fabulous looking restuarant and coffee lounge etc and it has fab spa facilities. I know it will be pricy . If we do get to go there I shall check whether or not one must be a resident guest before eating there.

When we were visiting in March, called in to this lovely place and was told that yes we could eat there as non residents of the hotel.Went the following night and had a lovely meal,it was quiet, but the service was great. It would be good to book as you need to buzz the inercom at the gate to get in to the hotel.
