Just noticed that Jet2.com have a flight leaving Faro at 20.00 for sale.
169 euros to Edinburgh

Did not see anything on the Faro airport site. NO UK arrivals or departures.

If you can get to Paris EJ flights are shown as still operating.

BBC Radio Scotland had an item saying Jet2 were sending empty planes late afternoon from Edinburgh to at leats 2 airports, 1 of which was Faro. No idea if they actually left, report was at about 4pm, typing this at 7.20pm.

Jset 2 have a " repatriation " flight on its way to Faro to pick up stranded passengers.

I heard also that jet2 were coaching people from Faro but to where I'm not sure.I wonder now the ban has been lifted whether they will allow overnight flying to move the backlog of passengers.
