Linda and Russell will be leading this walk and Geoff should be back for the next walk. We head out into a valley with lots of pine trees and baragems. There should be plenty of shade from the trees. The walk is about 9kms and on good tracks. There are gradual uphills but nothing too steep. There are 3 x lots of bee hives which we pass but should be okay at this time of year. Bring a pole if you use one, a drink and wear good footwear, walk at your own risk and no charge.

Meeting point: Cafe Pasto Riba E Serra, Rasmalho. Meeting time: 9.00am.

Directions to meeting point: Exit the N125 at Portimao following the sign to Monchique. At the roundabouts keep following the sign for Monchique. You will come onto the N266, then pass a petrol station on the left. After a km you will come into Rasmalho and the cafe is on the left hand side.

Please park on the right hand side as we will car share to the start of the walk which is 3kms further along.

The cafe may be closed.

If you would like to stay for lunch after we can drive round to Restaurant Ourique and have lunch al-fresco. The menu with drinks is about 15 euros.

Good to see the regular walkers in good shape for walking. The 2 newbies found it too hard so they cut the walk short and headed back. Lots of shade and water for the dogs and lots of catching up to do.
