This is a variation of the Porches to Albandeira Coastal Walk, whereby we walk in a loop from the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha to the cliffs overlooking the beaches to the east of Marinha Beach, but without having to cross the Praia do Barranco beach, which has a dangerously steep ascent. There will be spectacular views from the cliffs.

The usual rules apply: wear suitable footwear, bring a drink, a walking pole (highly recommended), no charge, walk at your own risk and respect the social distancing rules.

Meeting point: Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha in Porches
Meeting Time: 10am - Monday is not deemed to be very hot, so we keep the starting time at 10. I don't know if coffee will be available at the start of the walk. There is a restaurant nearby, but it may be closed.

Directions: Go to Porches and follow signs to the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha, which is on a cliff overlooking the sea. There is a car park just before the chapel.

Hi Both,

If i’m not there by 10am, please don’t wait for me. I need to go to the Centro de Saúde in Lagoa first thing to try and sort out my problems with getting the vaccine.

It was nice to see that everyone could participate this time. A nice walk in good weather.....except for bit of rain for the last 20 minutes.
