WALK - MONDAY 5 OCTOBER - CALDAS DE MONCHIQUE CLOSED
The walk is around 10 kms approximately 2 1/2 hours. Start time: 10 am. Meeting point: Foz Do Banho restaurant, just before Caldas De Monchique
There are a few steep hills and a steep downhill section on uneven ground so bring poles if you have them. We should have some great views. This is a grade 4 walk (hard). The usual rules apply, walk at your own risk, wear suitable footwear, bring a drink and no charge.
You can also join us for lunch after the walk for Chicken Piri Piri at the famous Café Imperio, approx 15 euros including wine and extras. Numbers limited as it is a small restaurant and very popular.
Directions: From Lagoa: drive West along the N125 to the Monchique turn off at Portimao. Drive up the
N266 towards Monchique for about 13kms until you see restaurant Foz Do Banho on the left side of the
road. Park just below the restaurant (which will be closed). If you want a coffee get one on route.
Numbers are limited to 10, so only 8 more walkers (due to CV19 restrictions) and it is first come first served. So please indicate below if you are attending and if you are staying for lunch.
Linda and Russell will be leading this walk and the contact number of the day is: 0044 7960552618. We look forward to seeing some of you again.

Hi Linda & Russell, it's good to hear you're back in the Algarve. Please include Colin, Sharon and Wendy for both walk and lunch.
Thanks, Colin.
Thanks, Colin.

We have arrived back safely in the Algarve and are both looking forward to seeing you all (the few that could get on the list). The restaurant is open on Monday and I have booked a table for 7 people, 6 for piri piri chicken and 1 x omelette. Voce segunda-feira. Linda

Re: WALK - MONDAY 5 OCTOBER - CALDAS DE MONCHIQUE CLOSED
The weather was perfect for our first walk of the winter season. We had the maximum allowed 10 x walkers and 4 x dogs came along to help make up the numbers. One of the paths was a little overgrown so there were a few scratched legs but we all had an enjoyable walk. Seven of us enjoyed the Piri Piri chicken menu at Cafe Imperio. Thank you for making it an enjoyable start to the walking season for us. Linda and Russell
