Walk: Tusday 26 November 2019 . Silves Farmhouse. CLOSED
Re: Walk: Tusday 26 November 2019 . Silves Farmhouse. CLOSED
Good job Sue & I did a brief recce on monday about a potential new starting point for this walk:
Bad News....the Jardim do Largo de Republico in Silves is a building site...no Jardim, no square and no roads!
Good news....plenty of space by the Tributo Cafe nearby .Old hands may recall it as a cafe to start this walk, but it closed about 3 years ago. It is now open , about a month ago, and not only is it an ideal starting point.
Please note new starting point....revised directions above.

Weather update......it's very misty here, but forecast looks good for the morning in Silves, so walk is definitely ON.....wouldn't be too surprised at the odd drizzle, so some rainwear might be prudent.....at least the recent rain will have consolidated the scree!

21 walkers, 20 lunchers and 3 dogs assembled at cafe Tributo for a very nice coffee before setting off under clearing skies : no rain forecast.
Alfie liked the puddles:
Before a few hills....
and a pause for breath at the top....
Zac thought that if he got up, he might never get down...
So on to the farmhouse :
and back after 2 h 15 mins for a drink: The incumbent dogs having a rest:
Before the usual good lunch : but would Willie or Nicholas finish the vino tinto? Another good walk.....and as its still so reasonable there, 29€ for the charity, along with a good tip. thanks all.
