This will be an early return to the Norinho, but there aren't too many places open on a Monday now. This won't be the usual Enxerim scramble because Sue's arm is in plaster, so instead it will be on good tracks...some uphill, but steady! It's flat along the lavada to start, has 5 minutes of back road , but after that the paths are good and there is a gentle descent, along with some lovely views.

Duration : about 2h 15-30 mins.

The cafe has been tried and recommended : menu and size is limited but they do a good grilled meat or fish prata de dia. Optional lunch price is 8.5€ for chicken/pork/Carapau/chicken with chick peas but 12.5€ for Dorada......but please note new lunch price policy at viewtopic.php?f=39&t=27800 so , as no one will have any change, cost will be 10€ for chicken/pork etc and 15€ for dorada. We will need to order before the walk.

Degree of Difficulty ( scale 1:5 ) : probably grade 2 or 2.5.

Start: 1000.....but please arrive by 0945 if you want a coffee!

Directions : drive from Carvoeiro to Silves, go over the bridge and turn right and follow the N124 for about 3.2 kms until you see Cafe Casa de Pasto a Norinho on your left : park in layby opposite.

Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain...no charge, of course...I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0830 on the day of the walk.

Just to say that forecast is showers between 0800 and 0900 and 1200-1300....so walk should be ok.

6 hearty walkers and the 2 dogs set out under a cloudy sky but with splashes of blue...it was very mild....a seven pointed cistus was spied;
Lots of puddles for the dogs....
We spotted a new sign....but which path was private, there was a choice of 3..anyway, we carried on regardless...

We passed the strawberry farmer who kindly offered us a sample of his large, juicy and tasty wares...
2.5 hours....Jen left us for lunch but Colin replaced her...all 6 of us had a great lunch with 5€ for the charity kitty.
