Meet at Cafe Cashinhas near Silves. The track is fairly undulating, nothing (too!) steep, with minimal loose scree. Lovely countryside, plenty of orange groves, nice views from the top.

Degree of difficulty : 2 (Moderate) but 3 ( Energetic) for one hill climb of about 100m.

Duration about 2 hours 15 mins.

Start Time: 10:00am

Directions: From CVO, drive to Silves and go over bridge, turn right.
At the roundabout, follow the N124 in direction of Messines.
After about 400m, almost opposite the Galp petrol station on your left, turn right on to " Turismo Rural".
Follow this for about 2.5 kms, when you will see the Cafe Casinhas on your right. The cafe will not be open so best get a coffee on route!

If anyone wishes to join us for lunch we will either be eating at Casinhas (if it is open) or at Cafe Norinha a short drive away. A 2 course meal with drinks for 10 euros.

Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, bring a drink and wear suitable footwear. "Only 9 walkers today and 4 dogs. The hardy few who are staying in the Algarve to brave the blazing sun and blue skies. A very fast pace as we completed 8.3kms in 1 hour and 50 minutes. Is this a CVO record! Zac disgraced himself today by cooling off in a puddle of cow dung and could be smelt from 100metres away, hence the fast pace. Jenny had to cover him to protect the car. Six of us had a very nice relaxing lunch at Cafe Norinha. We had such a good time we forgot to take a photo. "

From which I deduce that Casinhas was shut...again!

Must say, Zac looks rather happy!
