Walk Monday 23 April
Another pop-up walk led by Jim & Gill.
A favourite "Geoff walk" with a twist off-piste to take in a wild flower meadow that would inspire a Monet!
Meeting at 09.45 at the Cafe Casinhas, near Silves.
Drive to Silves, cross the bridge and turn right. At the roundabout take first right and continue for 300 metres and immediately after a pedestrian crossing turn right at a blue sign for "Turismo rural" - continue on this road for approx 3 Kms, the roadside is punctuated by arrays of wild flowers, until you cross a bridge over the river and the cafe is on your right.
The walk will be on a warm Monday morning after a weekend of rain!!! It will be a fitting tribute to the Algarve Nature Week.
What you will see - oranges and lemons says the bells of St Clements - the fruit and the flower, together with a kaleidoscope of spring colours - all the greens, vivid blues, crimson reds, mellow yellows and purple haze, a Chelsea Flowere Show in the wild!
What you will smell - perfumes and aroma that will linger a lifetime!
What you will hear - birdsong and bzzz... bzzz... bzzz...!
The walk will be just short of 3 hours, just over 11kms and difficulty 3+
Stout trainers/boots and water suggested. No charge for walk. All walks are at your own risk.
As this is a last minute event, there is no need to advise on attendance - it's a turn up and go!
Lunch can be had at the Cafe.
