Just to confirm that we’ll be there tomorrow Diane and Adrian from Truro
Re: Walk 19 March 2018 : Silves Windmill : CLOSED
Well, after a couple of false starts, we managed to assemble 21 walkers with 4 dogs : 2 newbies, Diane and Adrian, visiting from the Truro hash.
Not having done this particular approach for many years, we did take a false turning, but all managed to reach the windmill successfully.
It was just as well we went the way we did : white water was spotted on a ( very broad!) river Enxerim:
It was a day for rainwear on and off:
But, why wear sunglasses in the rain?
Jim finds a use for the old map shelter :
We still couldn't work out what the well & trough were really for ; but here's Rod's nostalgic photo from his first walk with us back in 2017:
And so a quick change:
and off to the Mia Rio where 16 had a great lunch, most turkey with cream & mushrooms , though some chicken p-p:
with a healthy 18€ for the charity kitty.
