Walk is now closed
This is a new approach to an old walk...it's flat along the lavada, has 5 minutes of back road and then is all on country tracks, many of them uphill ; nothing too steep, but some quite long . About 2.5 hours, perhaps a bit less.
The cafe has been tried : menu is limited but they do a good grilled meat or fish prata de dia for 7.5€....lunch is, of course, optional.
Degree of Difficulty ( scale 1:5 ) : probably 2.5......strenuous/energetic
Start:10.00 am
Directions : drive from Carvoeiro to Silves, go over the bridge and turn right and follow the N124 for about 3.2 kms until you see Cafe Casa de Pasto a Norinho on your left : park in layby opposite.

Usual caveats: all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain.....I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0830 on the day of the walk.
Walking boots/stout trainers , walking pole(s), hats and water recommended. No charge, of course.
Please indicate below if you can come as numbers are limited.......the cafe is not very large either, so please state if you would want lunch.
