Dear Linda
I am very sorry for the late notice, but Trish and Noel won't be able to make this walk.
Thanks

Re: WALK - MONDAY 21 OCTOBER 2019 - CALDAS DE MONCHIQUE - CLOSED AS FULLY BOOKED
After quite a few last minute cancellations, 17 of us and 5 dogs headed down into the cold valley. We then had a long climb uphill and out into the glorious sunshine. We enjoyed some great views all the way down to the coast. Some of the tracks are becoming overgrown so there were a few scratched legs but everyone was in good spirits. We covered the 10.43kms in 2 hours and 23 minutes, a good average speed of 4.4kms per hour. We said goodbye to the dog walkers and headed off up to cafe Imperio for lunch. Fourteen of us enjoyed a special lunch with the local produce, serano ham, goats cheese, tomatoes, homemade piri piri sauce and chicken of course, deserts, coffee and lots of drinks. Everything was marinated in their special herbs and sauces. We shared the bill which was 15 euros each with enough for a tip but nothing for the charity this week.
