WALK - MONDAY 27 APRIL 2026 - RIBBA A TORINHO

[Linda and Russell]

Linda and Russell will be leading this walk. We head up a gradual hill and then stay at the top enjoying nice views down to the valleys below. We get a fantastic 360 view on this walk. The walk is about 9kms. Some of the tracks may be uneven due to bulldozer work. Bring a pole if you use one and wear good footwear, walk at your own risk and no charge.

Meeting point: Cafe Pasto Riba E Serra, Rasmalho. Meeting time: 9.30am.

Directions to meeting point: Exit the N125 at Portimao following the sign to Monchique. At the roundabouts keep following the sign for Monchique. You will come onto the N266, then pass a petrol station on the left. After a km you will come into Rasmalho and the cafe is on the left hand side. Please park on the right hand side as we will car share to the start of the walk which is 3kms further along.

The cafe should be open for coffee before we start. We will go for lunch after, either Rasmalho or Ourique. Please add your name below if you wish to join us. Contact on the day is: 0044 7960552618.

Alas I think I’ll have to cancel. Having an attack of gout in my left big toe. Too much red wine, cured sausages, etc.

Doesn’t happen often and usually goes away in a few days, but at the moment I can barely walk.

Thirteen walkers and 2 dogs enjoyed a nice 2 hour stroll. Just one small hurdle over a tree branch. The dogs found some water near the end.

We headed over to Ourique after for drinks and lunch al-fresco.
