Walk is closed.
Used to be the O Guerreiro. Nice restaurant. Not the best of walks as a bit flat and bit too much tarmac, but nice restaurant with lovely views. There is about 50m on the N124, so take great care there.

Duration: About 2 h 15 m

Difficulty:As it's pretty flat, say 2 .

Start : 1000...but if you want coffee and to order lunch, please be there by 0945 at latest.

GPS : 37.2738947,-8.3141676,605

Directions : Drive from CVO to Silves, go over the bridge and turn right and follow the N124 for about 14 kms , passing signs for Nora and Benaciate (on the right) and Torres/Corte (on your left). Watch out for the Tasca da Zabel , on your right.It's on the right. Park at side of road or in layby opposite.

Lunch (Optional): Not sure of current price, new owners since went there last in Jan 2024 , but expect about 15€.

It is ESSENTIAL that you indicate below if you can come and whether you want lunch, as numbers for walk will be limited to 20

Walking boots/stout trainers recommended and walking poles.

Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain...no charge, of course...I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0830 on the day of the walk.

Forecast for tomorrow seems to be for some light rain showers in the morning, worse in afternoon. If it's just a drizzle, we'll walk , but not if it's heavier.
Will try & put something here about 0830 tomorrow, but our internet is playing up today & can't gfuarantee that.

Well, weather held OK, even some sun , 17 walkers, 12 lunchers. 2 h 15 m, though some tracks had been tarmaced over since we were here last....not that it seemed to cause a problem. We welcomed our first Canadians back, Rob & Amanda and newbies David & Katherine...

For the second week running, we (I) had trouble with translating menu....Brazilan Bean Stew with Pork and Chicken Legs were 2 separate dishes , not one! Nevertheless, it was all good. Another mistake was not understanding what was included and what was an extra, not helped by restaurant admitting their mistake over the wine. Net result was that we collected 20€ too much, which will help fund next week! Sorry about that, promise to do better!
