Walk 19 January 2026 ; Norinho

We will be back!

A walk along the levada then up into the hills and around....NOT the big Enxerim hill, but a more gentle climb! A few hills, but nothing too steep.

Duration : about 2.5 hours...11kms....though last time it was 2 h 45 mins....but if it's hot...or very wet...or just getting tired, we can cut it short by at least half an hour.

Optional Lunch :...... If prices are same as last time, it's 12.5€ for main of chicken or pork with covers/wine with an extra 2€ for pudding. Doradas and squid are pricier at 15€. Not sure about coffee.

Degree of Difficulty ( scale 1:5 ) : grade 3

Start: 10.00 .....but please arrive by 0945 if you want a coffee/order lunch.

Directions : drive from Carvoeiro to Silves, go over the bridge and turn right and follow the N124 for about 3.2 kms until you see Cafe Casa de Pasto a Norinho on your left : park in layby opposite.

It is ESSENTIAL that you indicate below if you can come and whether you want lunch, as numbers for walk will be limited to 20

Walking boots/stout trainers recommended and walking poles.

Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain...no charge, of course...I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0830 on the day of the walk.

Fresh, but sunny....13 walkers and lunchers....2 h 55m...we are getting slower! Good to see Kim back from her travels Down Under and welcomed Tim and Francesca from Luz and Lagos resp.
