We'd hoped there might be a walk while we're out there 18-26 September! Still at least we can look forward to the walk in November.

Found this:
Walking Tours Algarve
Choose between 10 different free tours ranging from 2-12 km. All go around the lake Barragem da Bravura between Lagos and Portimao. Either come to the reservoir parking area or check online beforehand.
Tel: 936 608 220

Would be nice if someone in Pt called them up and then let us know the score, free Tours!

On AngloINFO Algarve but the "link" to website doesn't work so I was hoping Geoff or anyone could call them and let us all know the score - maybe they have another website?

As I am in the UK, can't help. However:
http://algarve.angloinfo.com/
looks like the website, but can't see anything about walking, free or otherwise!

http://algarve.angloinfo.com/business-d ... garve.html

Googling the mobile number led me to a listing for the former Hansel & Gretel restaurant at Bravura (with another dead website link). However recent TripAdvisor reviews suggest the previous owners have sold up.

A bit of a dead end, perhaps.

Sadly I can't find my way back to the right page, I wondered all over the site. I did find this statement "Portuguese tourist offices (Postos do Turismo) in each area have suggested lists of pathways and routes." I know there's one in Lagos so I will head there when I eventually make it out there.

I like a bit of sun on holiday and I like the pool fairly warm so I come to the Algarve in September.
For years I have looked in vain for one of your walks when I was out there and yes I have read up on one or two walks, the ones I know.
I'm out there again in September so if you do have a walk then I'll try and join you, if I may and I hope you don't mind me reading about your walks.

Hi zygurat789...flattered to read what you say, 2700 "reads" of this topic now!

Of course there is no problem with you/anyone reading about them...on some, we have published maps so people can perhaps follow the walk on their own....one day I may even write directions/instructions.

Unfortunately, at the moment, we usually walk November/January/February so swill miss you again this September....try a winter holiday in the Algarve?
