a friend in PDF needs her curtains relined/ repaired?
can anybody help?

There is a tiny shop underneath the Post Office.
Pop in there and find a very friendly (English speaking) lady to help you.

I have used the shop e-richard recommends, and can endorse that. The service was quick and well done done.

Try King of Fabrics behind the Cepsa garage on the approach to Carvoeiro.
He relines repairs and makes new. We have used him for the 8 years we have been here.
