Development near Solfeiras

Post by DaveK » Wed Aug 12, 2009 9:10 pm

Coming to the T junction just after the Solfeiras with the green builders fencing in front, nothing now seems to have happened with this development for months. I have heard that the site is on hold and maintenance only is being carried out, yet the sales office seems to be open at times. Will it be completed or have the banks pulled the plug leaving it as it is for the foreseeable future?

It is just one of many in the Algarve on hold or even worse where the developers have gone bust ( Crown Plaza in Albufeira, Oceanville in Albufeira ).
Not good news for those who have paid their deposits,

Probably not gone bust yet, but I feel sorry for those who have paid deposits as it will clearly be some time before work recommences on finishing the project, if ever. In this financial climate this could be a year or two.

I have noticed recently a sudden surge of activity at long last. The site is now visible and although clearly not yet finished, getting that way. Workmen were there on Sunday so must be on a tight deadline for completion.
