Fernandos Stone Steak, Monte Carvoeiro

Went there the other night - only thing open at Monte and not much open in town! Were made very welcome by Fernando, nice log fire to keep us warm, good food, not bad price - only people in all night! Full marks to him for keeping going during this low time.

We have always enjoyed it at Fernando's. apart from when its very busy, it gets very very smokey!, must be all that heat!!

True Tricky - 3 of us out of 4 had stone steak and it did make it very smoky indeed for a while. I guess not so bad in summer when more are outsied and windows open etc

Not sure how you get a free meal out of Fernando. Perhaps I'd rather not know! Out of interest, we prefer the restaurant opposite for stone steak, when they are open. Are we missing something?
