Amadeus Garden

Post by Geoff »

Looking for somewhere a bit different? this "find" is 25 minutes drive away, but well worth it.

International cooking rather than Portuguese, but well laid out dining area with lovely floodlit gardens : will be a gem in summer. Nice and warm, often a rarity this time of year.

Interesting cover...bread/olives/cheese/chorizo/tuna & cucumber pate.

Delicious avocado & prawns , tender large lamb steak for me, grilled salmon for Sue : other members of the party reported an excellent goats cheese with honey followed by pork medallions in a creamy/peppery sauce.

Puddings a bit dissappointing....my chocolate swiss roll was a bit mundane, as was Sue's mango mousse but the pears in wine with ice cream where good.

All including water and wine and coffee and attentive service.

Same menu at lunch as dinner....€14.5 for the former, €19.8 for the latter....a la carte if you prefer.

Will be back!
