Old ground I know but a big thumbs up for Econdidionos and A Tasquinous in Lagoa.
(excuse spelling).
Great lunch in Lagos family run including cute baby brilliant set course menu down a side street. If it wasn't for the forum we wouldn't have found it - excellent give them your support.
The Ritz we knew about but haven't been for years. Wow what great value 10 Euros per head for all we could eat and 2 litres of wine and port tipples. Just brillant value and good food.

For those prepared to venture a bit further afield you can't beat the O Gralha restaurant up by the reservoir, near Messines. It's a bit of a trek but worth it - Portuguese, family run, wonderful casseroles and fish of the day, drinks, delicious puds, etc all under 10E a head. Like the Ritz but, in our opinion, better. Just a shame that its not closer!
To find it: Go to Silves and over the bridge towards the town. TR at the traffic lights and follow this road out towards Messines for a long way. Ignore first turning marked to the Barragem and keep going almost as far as Messines until you find a turning to the L signed Amorosa. Go through the village and then take the L turn signed to the Barragem. The restaurant is on your RH side a mile or so after this. Good views across the valley to the ?Gralha mountain and good walking country. You can get to the restaurant from the Barragem direction but I haven't ever done it that way round!
If you've done the Silves windmill walk in the morning, this makes an excellent stop for lunch afterwards!
