I'll look forward to it, as long as he's better than the wandering minstrel who keeps turning up at Mona Lisa and Jardim do Farol, and whose repertoire doesn't seem to extend much beyond "Guantanamera" and "Never on a Sunday"pointersister wrote:Go back on a Sunday Mike, Adelino will be there strumming his stuff

Re: Vimar
Yeah unless he hands his nylon stringed instrument to my husband in Happy's and we are then treated to a couple of Beatles renditions. Happy nights
Re: Vimar
We went to Vimar on Wednesday lunch time on our way to the airport. We didn't realise when we sat down that everything was included even a cold drink AND a hot drink for 9 euros. We had vegetable soup, always delicious in Portugal, chicken piri piri and pork in the oven for main, molotof and profiterols for desert. Excellent value and very friendly service. Highly recommended. There were quite a few people for a January lunchtime so obviously well known and liked.

Vimar is always a great bet for both lunch and dinner.

Yep, agreed. Fish soup is also one of the best around.DaveK wrote:Yes, but try Nuno's. Best vegetable soup I have had, and we have had plenty in different parts of Portugal.

At least you can pretty much guarantee there won't be any cream in it!pato wrote:That's all you ever get in Portugal, "Excuse me what's the soup of the day?......Er! vegetable"Sheila wrote:We had vegetable soup, always delicious in Portugal,
