If you have Millennium Bank on your left, going up the road, carry on straight up this road, past Post Office on right and we are just around the corner from the Municipal Market, almost opposite the Pharmacy with the flashing green sign. Hope to see you in August.
Lesley Jean wrote:Louis and Debbie, do you have a web site for your restaurant?? if not can you give me some good directions please, I have yet to find you.

We don't go into Lagoa much except for the Bank (millennium) if you could direct me from the square by what used to be 21 I would be grateful.

We are out in August and would love to try your restaurant.

Hi, its me again, sorry I didn't know that some of the drinks were included in the price until the last time we were there. This restaurant is seriously good and you must give it a go. We went there again before coming home and again the food was splendid. It's a lovely place to have a relaxing meal or celebration in, it's just the right size and the service is excellent as well as the food. I can't praise it highly enough and I don't think this place should be judged on how good or bad the previous owners were. Give the new owners a chance :D We are definitely returning in September.

I met Deb and Louie in Sept 2009 after getting details of their apt to stay in for a quiet week. I met them for the first time when they met us at Monte Carveiro and took us to the apt. They were 2 lovely people who straight away made us feel very welcome and I can't believe how horrible people have been in some of the comments posted on this site! We had a very enjoyable, relaxing week at the apt and on our last night(fri) we were picked up by them and taken to Chrissy's restaurant via a shoe shop opposite that Deb had arranged to stay open late for me as I wanted to buy before I left. We entered the restaurant about 8pm and it was a lovely atmosphere and had about 14 people dining already. My husband and I have eaten in some of the nicest restaurants all over the world and I can say the food, wine and hospitality of Deb, Louie and all the staff was up there with the best. To those of you who may be put off by some of the comments I say please try for yourself and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. We hope to return to Carveiro in the future, to the same apt and we will certainly be dining at Chrissy's more than once during the stay. Deb and Louie keep smiling and doing what you are, it certainly works for us.

We were very impressed by the "New Chrissys" in September, so much so that it has knocked Boa Vida at Clube Atlanico off the top of our favourites list.
Try it.

Bruce, if you like restaurants fronted by angry, miserable women then get yourself down to A Fonte. You'll be in heaven there mate. And the teeth! Jeez!

We went to A Fonte today and the lady there was lovely and very smiley (admittedly this has never happened before) ... it shocked me so much I felt that I had to post about it!

Had a long(ish) conversation with her about books.

We went to Chrissy's for the first time on Tuesday evening. We were very impressed. the food was excellent and great value for money. The hostess was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely for a special occasion and the specials were an added bonus. We wish them every sucess.
