Mistral

Post by SJ & RE »

Hiya, :)
We visited this hidden gem two nights on the trot to give it a fair review.
It is a fab place. The food, ambience and decor is amazing.
The first night I had a huge swordfish steak that was soooo good I had to have the same the following night. Richards pork the first night was really good and the second night he had a sirloin steak and he said it was absolutely fabulous and cooked to perfection. As he dislike garlic he mentioned it to the waitress and it all came back minus the garlic. Brilliant. The prawn kebab starter is massive, 3 of the hugest prawns ever and very tasty too. The sheeps cheese in the couvert is rich and creamy. The music from the live Brazillian band on Monday is really fantastic. You guys will love the singer and can she dance!!! We will be back next Monday night for another special meal and dance out. And to get another mug so we have a matching pair.
All in all its really worth it to go there for a different experience.

where is this great sounding place,

does it stay open during the winter.

Friends who live locally went back 2-3 times this summers on their return visit to cvo.

My wife and I also love this place. Next time you go try the Picanha - it is to die for.

Sure has - it used to be our favourite, but we went about 4 years ago and it was dreadful. Went back this year and was absolutely superb - good grub, good service (really attractive waitresses which is good for a dirty old man like me, and a good looking and chatty waiter for my wife- but I hesitate to call her a dirty old woman) and good live music.

We have walked past this restaurant many times - it just seems a little strange is the best way i can put it - but may give it a go when we are next over in Carvoeiro in May.

Just got back to the Uk and miss Mistrals. We ate there 4 times this hols and all the time it was the best. They did us proud for our wedding anniversary and on our last evening.
Music is on Mondays but not sure what is happening now as its Winter and the very pretty singer has gone home 4 a while. The pretty waitress is also going away for the winter.
A great place, fab food, fab ambience and when the band is playing wow
