Piano Garden

I just love revamping these old posts! Sad I know.

I passed by the Piano Garden on Saturday "just for a look" and was surprised how nice the place was. Menu looks very good - I thought it might be Angolan or Moçambique type curry but the chef is an Indian chap it seems.

Anyone been there lately to report on it?

Yes there last week and as fantastic as ever. Live music Tuesdays and Saturdays, great as all the children were up dancing.

5 of us went there last night. Nice meal. No better I think than the O Castelo Indian for flavour and more or less same price. Attentive service . But my God - that keyboard player! More bum notes than a professional counterfeiter! What a relief when the taped music came on.

Would be nice sitting outside on a summer night (far away from the keyboard)

We went again last night - 8 of us. Some of the younger members had pizzas which were pronounced very good, the curries were fine again. Madras is hot enough so would not risk a vindaloo!

Had booked a table outside to try to escape the keyboards a bit but he has moved outside as well :?

Worth a try I think.

Hi Biffa - was it one of your party that took over the piano playing (much to the appreciation of my parent's in law who were also there last night)?

Only just seen this from Graham. Indeed it was one of our party - he looks like he had been through a hedge backwards and come out with barbed wire piercings everywhere but he is lead singer in a rock group called On a Friday so can get away with it!

I thought the regular guy was very charming to him!
