Sincere apologies to members here for the duplication. I really don't know how it happened. Probably down to my impatience.

Returned to The Cattleman for a meal last week. As ever, the friendly service from Frank is second to none. It is such a shame that it is off the beaten track a bit and easily missed. We had a couvert of bread and olives (could have done with sardine pate) and then had the fillet steak for main course. The food was cooked to perfection and the quality of the meat shows through in the tenderness and taste. We sat outside for the first time and it is a delightful area to sit and have a meal. We returned the following night to have some beers and watch the boxing!!
Returned agian on the Sunday evening and I had the Rib-eye steak with mustard and orange sauce.........absolutely lovely.
A little mention here for Mila who is a great chef and very charming when she serves you.

I've been there had really good steak, the American boy there sure serves up a great steak. If he was on the main street his place would be bursting at the seams!
I agree MIla is carming & I must add she is gorgeous.

The guy of Cattleman has just disappeared without paying the rent - so it´s closed down now - all of a sudden! Just a shame for such a nice restaurant!

Are you sure of your facts ?
I presume your source is reliable. I'm not necessarily doubting you, just want to be sure its not a malicious rumour being spread.

Really? Having been there before, when we walked past I did look at the menu (my son wanted steak but had set his heart on casa do bife) so we didn't actually go up to the restaurant itself. They had nice pictures of the pool and a full printed menu on the roadside at last, so people could see that the place was worth a visit. We were going to go there tonight!

I have to say it looked at little deserted when we walked up 2 weeks ago and I thought they were leaving it late to prepare for the usy holidays...would be interesting to get confirmation either way

A real shame - if true. Really liked Cattleman , Frank and Milla. So is the new Moldovian cook at A Vela, Milla?
