pool cover
pool cover
Hello fellow members
I am going to have a pool cover fitted in the next month or so but I have a pool that the water comes over the edge into the skimmer channel to circulate the water unlike a lot of pools that have the skimmers below the top pf the pool which makes it easier to fit a pool cover as it sits below the top of the pool where as mine will have to sit on the top has anybody fitted a cover to a pool like mine ? I already have the pool cover & roller etc but we are reluctant to fit it ourselves in case we incur any problems.

Re: pool cover
not sure if this is applicable to your situation or not...
however,
we fitted a lot of these back in the UK, and the biggest problem we encountered, when using a floating bubble or foam type cover, was the wind.
the only cover that worked, was the UPVC slatted type, as that has the depth to hold itself in situ.
it would have to be specially made to your pool size, as they are not "off the shelf" stock items usually.

Re: pool cover
Thank you for your reply nj0607, I agree but they are more expensive although ultimately a better product we are not in a position to buy one of those covers .njc0607 wrote:not sure if this is applicable to your situation or not...

Re: pool cover
ok no problem...
if you are struggling, I know someone who can do it. he specialises in awkward pool shapes. he did mine, as its a kidney shape and back to front, so fitting a new cover and roller the traditional way, was not an option, but he solved it with a rather clever solution...
let me know.

Re: pool cover
Thanks njc0607, we too have a funny shaped pool straight on 1 edge & then a kind of semi circle design but not symmetrical, we have the cover & the roller ends but no tube as we could not ship the tube over due to the length of it but our villa manger says he can get a tube for us.njc0607 wrote:ok no problem...
