IMI property tax
IMI property tax
Hello fellow forum members.
I am curious as to how they charge the IMI tax, is it one figure for the property ie if the IMI is €600 per year & there are 2 owners registered is it €300 each or if there are 3 people its €200 each etc?

I believe the answer to your question is YES.
In fact you each get a bill for your share.

Thank you Richard.
Re: IMI property tax
When and how often you pay will depend on the amount. We pay half in April and half in November. I think small amounts are once a year and large amounts 3 times a year, but cpuld not guarantee that as they often change the rules.
Re: IMI property tax
As far as i am aware you can pay in April & September to spread the payment or in 1 lump.

Re: IMI property tax
IMI is due as follows (annual amounts per invoiced taxpayer):
up to 250€ - one payment in April
250€ to 500€ - 50% each in April and November
over 500€ - one third each in April, July and November
You can choose to pay the later instalments earlier (still as individual payments) but you cannot choose to separate into more instalments than are actually invoiced.
