Ownership of land

Is there an equivalent of Land Registry in Portugal where information on land ownership is held? I'm interested in a small plot of land next to my propery.

Short answer is yes. Unlike UK a new deed of title s created every time a plot changes hands.

You can find out from the financas, but you're probably better asking an estate agent.
