Decathlon? Or you could try the place on the right, just before you get to Alcantarilha. It's called Brico(something) it's set back off the road in a small industrial estate. Great shop and good prices.

Whilst I'm a great fan of the Chinese shops, I'm not sure I would buy a potential bomb there.

Continente some times have them but our preference for anything like this is " Bricomania " on the 125 towards Alcantrahila.

It is an very interesting shop with good prices and range of products almost like an old fashioned hardware store.

That's the place. One of my favourite shops. An Aladdin's cave, good prices and the staff are really friendly. They do everything from cement mixers to kiddies bikes.

Intermarche used to have them. They were, as you entered the shop, on the right hand side wall. Continente (Guia) definitely had them last week.

Boiling water on a BBQ is easy peasy if you have a cast iron dish or planca, just place this over the heat ,saucepan or kettle on top.
Not as fast obviously as an electric kettle but it works.

Am I the only one who was in the scouts ??

Take the 125 over the bridge, past the hospital junction and it's the next junction to Portimao Retail Park. Decathlon is at the far right along the main row of shops.
