Don't know them. Trust you have read the Warnings at the top of this section of this forum. If so you will know not to trust pm recommendations or approaches.

I have pm'ed you cazzy but as I said in the message you must do all available checks to ensure that you are totally happy.

Unfortunately 1 bad apple has ruined it for all the reputable management companies.

We use a company called Robinsons Retreats. They manage various properties and varies from a fairly basic service like we have for our apartment through to full service villa type management. Nice couple (Emma and Mike)

He built ADM, heard a few tales but won't repeat them because they're only hearsay. 8)

I think bookings are down generally. The Brits & Irish are broke and air fares up 30% year on year.

Some agents anticipate a last minute rush but I'm not convinced. Do you offer your properties to Spanish & Portuguese tourists or even Scandinavian ?

UK bookings are at least 30% down on last year and the Irish probably more.
But we are paying less for flights than last year as prices have been reduced to attract customers.

The Scandanavian market is growing and they seem to prefer the west for family holidays and Albufeira for the younger crowd.

We have friend who have found apartment bookings difficult but villa bookings have not been bad.

But they do not use agents but advertise on the owner rental sites or on sites like this.

mtharujs, I think it is a combination of having a good client base and luck - our bookings are holding steady with last year, most owners are doing ok, but things could always be better. :)

What we need is the Pound to get stronger against the euro - that always helps!

I doubt that was the case, he was a wheeler dealer, so I've been told by people who worked for him and people who befriended him. He broke a lot of hearts, and honest people lost their life savings by trusting and investing in him. Blaming others for his demise is a typical ploy of the con man, and I believe that's what he was unfortunately, Maybe some think he was naive but somehow I doubt it. :(
