The bar going down hill quick....it seems they are truly bringing the UK feel to the the bar, with asbo yobs hanging around outside the bar....urinating over other peoples property, screeming and swearing in the street until the early hours & even vandalising other peoples property. The bar serves them drinks and allows them to carry their glasses of booze across the road, so they can listen to load music in their cars, with their doors and boost open...using other peoples cars, as bar stools and tables!
It is ashame as the bar started in the right direction....but they now seem to be only interested in filling their pockets at the local communities expense. Is this really what Carvoeiro wants & needs? With the financial crisis, surely these owners/managers should be looking at improving their quality & enhancing a family friendly atsmosphere....rather than promote yob behaviour & turning a blind eye!

On one of the side roads nearby recently I noticed rubbish strewn across the street and some broken plant pots from a couple of houses. Wonder if there is a connection?

Yes the yobs found it amuzing to smash all the Chinese Restaurants planters....and proceeded to urinate over the closed resaurants shop fronts!

this is one bar I avoid, last time there some drunks were giving it large with the language, people started leaving, we did too.

If you head up restaurant hill it is on the right just before Barclays bank...opposite Cafe Fino.

Any chance of this being moved to the owners section? It's a important subject but do we really want to put people off the whole town?

I agree that something needs to be done and am willing to help lobby the GNR and Camara but I would hate to see the problems caused by one bar stop people coming to such a great place.

No you are not joking, it is getting worse. I think it will be time to move soon as there are so many undesirable people coming to our little piece of Heaven.

I have never seen such a website for other Tourist spots in the World.

It never ceases to surprise us at the negative comments about a few incidents in Carvoeiro from those who like us would not even dream of venturing out to any town centre in the UK.

No Carvoeiro isn't dodge city...but if everybody takes a laid back attitude, in no time at all the problems you have in UK city centres will be here to stay. Things are getting worse here, so now is the time to force local authorities & businesses to stamp this type of behaviour. All Black Stove has to do is bar these problem yobs (instead of serving them drinks)...if they can't get their booze they'll go elsewhere!
I do my bit...I call the police and voice my concerns, and call them out when I see trouble. However if things are to change, everybody needs to push for it...so local authorities (& bar owners) cannot ignore the problem. If you look at was is happening around the world....if you want it bad enough, and there are enough people involved there can be change. I know in comparison the yobs are a tiny concern compared to a dictator, so it should be even easier to resolve.

True it's not Dodge City but you would be very stupid to think it was some kind of Shangri la. Like everywhere else in the world Carvoeiro has it's problems, I'd still rather be here than anywhere else.

When has this trouble started. I was out in July, AUgust and October last year and did not notice that there were many people even IN the Black Stove, let alone causing trouble. Or is it a new problem that has reared its head?

It is pretty close to where I am (opposite Villa Medici) so would be interested to find out when the problems started or if, in fact, they were going on last year and I did not notice.

There were problems last year, a group of yobs p***ed as newts were turfed out of the Black Stove, they took themselves down to Mungo's & trashed the place & put the barman in hospital.
