Robinsons Retreats

Post by terryohare »

Has anyone used a villa / apartment holiday lettings & management company called Robinsons Retreats?
Finances dictate renting my house for the first time this coming season. Robinsons have sent a competitive quote for their services so was wondering if anyone could recommend them?

I see that they make the following claim on their website, something which very few agents do. This looks like a responsible approach but I have no personal experience of them. Good luck with the rentals !

"Arrangement of Rental Licence (Alojamento Local) – We are unable to rent out any properties that don’t have the Alojamento Local (Rental Licence) in place, we are more than happy to help you get this for your property."

You could try Elite Property Management and Rentals, we have been with them for 7 years and have no complaints. Our property is always immaculate when we return to it

I've heard good reports about them too but I didn't see any such statement about renting only "legal licensed property" on their website.

Thanks all. I'll have a look at Elite. Would be great to hear from anyone who's actually used them.

You can always ask Elite if they have "legally licensed properties".

Regarding your enquiry for Robinsons Retreats, we rented properties twice last year that were managed by this Company and Emma and Mike were amongst the best we have encountered over the last 30 years of renting in Carvoeiro and Ferragudo. I cannot rate them hightly enough and would have no hesitation in recommending them from a renters point of view.

Terryohare I am almost 100% sure that Robinson Retreats manage a place next to ours. The guy is from Norn Ireland and they seem to be very thorough, checking in on the place regularly. So if you check where the guy is from and you find out it is Norn Ireland, then I would say 'go for it'. Good luck with your letting hope it goes well. :)

Terryohare - just wondered whether you went with Robinson Retreats in the end and if so are you happy with the service? I am currently looking for a new local baed management company so any tips would be great!
