Apparently a mini-tornado hit Praia do Vau in Portimão last night, a number of restaurants were hit, trees and electricity posts blown down too, but nobody was hurt

Just found the stats on the rainfall in Madeira the weekend, equates to approx 5.5 inches of rain in 12 hours! Gutters or no gutters, they didn't stand a chance. http://www.meteo.pt/en/media/noticias/n ... deira.html
