The Ferragudo car boot usually takes place second Sunday of each month. Quite a big affair with all sorts of stuff on sale - books, clothing, furniture and general bric a brac.
If you Google, "Algarve car boots", you will also find listings for the various flea market type events in the area.

The huge one in Lagoa is 4th Sunday in the month.

The Portugal News lists the various flea markets. I pick up a free copy either in Intermarche or Apolonia every Friday.
