Went there a couple of weeks ago.

Unlike the previous 32 owners, the current team have actually spent some money tarting up this really beautiful setting. All repainted, cleaned and lights working with tables set out around the pool, and everywhere else, including loads of extra tables out front.

Staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and attentive.

And there, my friends, the accolades end.

The menu is just far too long. How can they prepare so many different dishes on the night? Of course not.
Prices are fractionally above average for "Restaurant Hill", and this may be acceptable given the glorious setting.

But the food was bland. 2 of us had completely different dishes and agreed. Beautifully presented, but really not very good/tasty.
I had lamb chops, 6 piled high on a wooden board. Tender and plain. Salad looked tired - didn't touch it. Prawn & Salmon kebab hanging from a coat hanger with plenty of meat and not overshadowed by onions and peppers, but taste was lacking.

Perhaps a peppercorn or two, maybe a touch of salt, a bay leaf, some herbs, seasoning - anything please to add some taste.
Maybe a smaller menu might help ?

Just wondering if this should be in the restaraunt section?
