Thanks for taking the time to post such a comprehensive list Raithstar. Good to know. We will be over next week to enjoy many of those places. Looking forward to it :D

Yep - Thanks Raithstar. We'll be retiring to Carvoeiro next year and looking forward to it very much, even if it lacks the manic buzz of Kuala Lumpur!

There are a few that I've missed off both lists , there is enough open to make it worthwhile visiting . Speaking to someone who owns one of the more popular bars last night and he told me that this August was the worst he had ever known and said he would have been as well closed , he added that oct/Nov had been good but it had started to slow down now . We were in happys on Monday and he was fairly busy , Jota Lita was pretty full last night and the Wolf has had a decent crowd in every night . All in all there is still a fair bit of life in the village although I know the business owners would prefer to be busier .

Nah it's defo a village , I've lived in a town all my life and Carvoeiro is a village in my book . So don't care what any body says for me it's a village and will always be a village . Well must go I'm away to Harry's Bar to mingle with the villagers and take part in the village quiz . You will recognise me I'm the one wearing the I ❤️ Carvoeiro Village t-shirt xxx

Ok wee update on things , went to Ferragudo today only a couple of places open in the main square at lunchtime and about 6 people in each very very quiet as opposed to Carvoeiro which after being busy on Sunday then quiet Mon/Tues was fairly busy again today . As I walked down Restaurant hill this evening I stopped outside a few places and did a quick head count . Wolf was closed tonight but has been fairly steady all week ( apartment is opposite I've been watching) Haweli had 7 in , Chinese next door had 19 in plus 2 take-aways (ours) , O Indiano 14 , Casa Algarvia 16 , Agale 6 , Jota Lita 17 , Chinese couple of doors down 4 , Casa do Biffe 4 , Happys 20 . Bars were reasonably ok as well with a few in Hemingways half a dozen in Carvoeiro bar and about 16 in A Boa Vida That's all I managed as the wife was losing the plot with me . So to sum up I don't think Carvoeiro is dead still a fair few folk around. My only gripe is I can't get a bloody ice cream anywhere as they are all closed .

Very detailed report again Raithstar, good job.

Sounds like there is some life over there, looking forward to heading over next week to add to it :D

Just out of interest, is the Wolf closing for a winter break or do they just close for a couples of days every week at this time of year?
