Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
Last week , a shopper going to Aldi was fined 60 euros for entering the store from the south by turning left over the continuous white line.
When you drive from Carvoeiro, go left at the first roundabout, go past the store on the right, then turn right at the second roundabout to enter the store by turning right.
You have been warned !

Thanks Jeremy, I will bear this in mind. I hadn't realised that there was a continuous white line there .

Re: Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
But it's not continuous, there is a small length of dotted line on the one side. I thought that meant you could cross there? or does it have to be on your side??
Re: Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
Macassa - You can only cross from the side that has the broken line. If the line is broken on both sides, then you can cross from either side,

Re: Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
If there's a continuous white line it means no crossing at all! two white lines means no crossing at all! at all! same as Ireland,
Re: Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
Goodness, didn't realise there was now a 5 lane motorway with toll booths at Aldi. Might stick with Intermarche

Well, you can't both be right.....driving on the N124 yesterday, the white line was virtually continuous all the way , but there were often white dashes on either or both sides of the continuous one, invariably opposite a drive/side road. The implication being that you can cross the solid line IF there are dashes your side....but can anyone prove it?You can only cross from the side that has the broken line. If the line is broken on both sides, then you can cross from either side,
Re: Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
Well, here's a satellite image from Google (assuming I've got the right place). The centre line on the road is continuous, with a short dashed section (on the Aldi side) at A, which allows you to turn left out of the car park towards Lagoa. However, if you are driving in that direction and want to turn into Aldi, it appears that you have to drive past, go round the roundabout, come back again, then turn right off the road at B (or risk a fine if you get caught doing it some other way).

Yup, reckon you are right Tom-I
Re: Warning - Access to Aldi Lagoa
Surely if you drive from Lagoa to CVO Aldi is on your left side?
