Lisbon
Hi everyone we are planning to visit CVO again in May and as way of doing something different thought we might take a train ride to Lisbon could anyone advise us if that is possible and if so any guidelines on prices and times involved. On another note does anyone know if Dave is still playing at the Jailhouse & Bistro (52?) this year again

Yep good Train service goes from Tunes. Best to get the early Train, not too expensive I believe around €25.00
Personally, I prefer the Coach, takes about the same time, great service and really cheap.

It's on Google Maps.
Re: Lisbon
Parking is free and usually easy just outside the station. Best if you book on line and go first class. Last year it was about 23 euros. As an alternative try a break to Porto. Ryanair fly daily and we have twice had great deals flying out of Faro early morning and coming back the next day on the late flight. In September we paid less than 20 euros each return! Lovely city and well worth a visit for a couple of days.

Re: Lisbon
Thanks for suggestions DVBRO & Davek getting excited now - we absolutely love CVO.
Re: Lisbon
Love Lisbon and we often fly into Lisbon and collect our car hire to drive to CVO or to Cabanas de Tavira . Cheaper flights normally to Lisbon then to Faro.
Stayed in a fab hotel in Lisbon one night theother year and got it for £85 including breckie, rack price £4$0.
Would love to have a 5 day break in Lisbon and its surrounding beaches. To use their trams and underground and visit as many tapas and port bars avaialble in the short time there. The music and ambience is really great.

Agree with all above. A trip on Tram 28 is essential, but be warned:
It is a sad fact that the high levels of tourists in an enclosed space has attracted pickpockets who commonly work the route, always keep an eye on bags and wallets.
