Theft
Theft
Having breakfast this morning to hear that six cars had been broken in to in a secure car park on the out road next to the vets and all the contents had been stolen. Sat Nav, Cameras, Radios etc.
Please all be alert and make sure that everything is battened down and kept in a safe place.
It's common sense, but sometimes we become a bit complacent, especially at this time of year.

Just how 'secure' is a secure car park?

Re: Theft
Secure car park or not, why leave stuff like that in the car. The majority of car radios are model only fit, unless the thieving sods are selling them back to hire companies. Complacent, more like stupid, or arrogant.

I was wondering that too.pete-flint wrote:Secure car park or not, why leave stuff like that in the car.
I would never leave valuables in an unattended car, even in a "secure" car park.
Might as well leave the keys in the ignition while you are at it.
At the very least, I would lock them, in the trunk (boot).

Working in Manchester, I take nothing for granted, everything gets locked and put out of sight, just an old roadmap on the seat, no Satnav, allegedly. : )
