Snow in The High Peak

Post by PTBUXTON »

Got out of bed this morning drew back the curtains(still had my PJ's on so I did'nt scare the neighours)and guess what yet another dollop of the white stuff, the third time in as many weeks. My wife and I found ourselves stuck in it week last Monday on the infamous Cat and Fiddle road mainly due to the very poor driving of other road users, anyway let's look on the bright side of life we could well have a White Christmas yet again, third on the trot.

Arrgghhh, that white stuff is supposedly threatening to fall heavily in the Aylesbury Vale tomorrow morning!
Fingers crossed the weather forecasters have got it wrong!
Last thing I (or anyone else in the UK) need is to be stranded in England when they were hoping to be in Portugal for Crimbo!

Drove over the Cotswolds yesterday afternoon, traffic was crawling from Stow to the outskirts of Gloucester added almost an hour to the normal journey time.

At the moment in, Norfolk, its very fierce rain, that feels as if it could turn to snow, any minute.

Bloody hell.....why did we come home? Its 16 in Carvoeiro, and 3 in Norwich!

I hope our kids appreciate the sacrifices we make on their behalves :D

No snow here and no sign of it in the future. They are predicting a green Christmas here. It was 14 yesterday and 5 or so today.Would like a little dusting for Christmas. :(

OK! got the "dinging" wrong but I had to change the "sna" to snow otherwise I'd have had to change the town name to "Sta" from Stow, just to make it rhyme like!.
Never was any good at Scotch in school anyway, I still need subtitles to understand my hero Rab C. " See ye mon! I'll have ye ethincally cleansed, that I will !"

Freezing cold here, this morning the roads were in a dreadful state cars were ending up in
ditches and turning over in the roads, loads of accidents. This time last year we were in
Carvoeiro. :( :(

Even had snow in Liverpool yesterday, made the place look tidier !! The hills behind the village where I live have a covering of snow, that looks prettier :D

Just dreaming of next summer in CV, it'll help pass the dark winter days away.
