Re: two weeks to go
Are you driving it in one?
we left Santander at about 11am and burned it down arriving Carvoeiro at 9pm....tiring but good.
PS buy your petrol in Spain before you cross over....its cheaper!!

Re: two weeks to go
Last time we cleared the dock at Santander about midday and arrived at the house at 10.30ish. That time we crossed the border into Portugal just past Salamanca and headed for the A2.
Going again on 9th October but will try the Seville route this time. I did note that entering Portugal that way you are able to turn off to the N125 via Castro Marim and Vila Real before you reach the first toll gantry if you wish to avoid the tolls, when they do arrive!

Hi Sue.
Hope you have a good trip. We're out to Rocha Brava mid-November and Helder's will be our first port of call as well. How long are you out for - maybe our paths will cross.

Re: two weeks to go
Hi Sue,
As a fellow Cumbrian, I cant understand why you'd want to go to Carvoeiro and miss all this lovely Cumbrian weather!? Ha Ha!
The longest part of the journey is driving from Cumbria down to Plymouth, but driving through Spain and Portugal is great.
Have a great time. (P.S. any room for 3 more passengers?)
