Has anyone used Sun Transfers for transfers to from Faro airport? They seem to be one of the cheapest firms but are they reliable?
Thanks in advance.

we have tried many, the best is Simon-Transfers (run by Simon Green) he caters for all sizes of parties and is always there before you arrive, he is English and can be contacted on simon-transfers@hotmail .com or by tel on 00 351 916 189 669 (24 hours)
hope you find this useful

For our visits to CVO we always use Easy-Go who have a base in CVO.
However, to answer your Q directly - we used SunTransfers last weekend when we landed at Alicante - used them for a private taxi for 4 - from ALC to Beni and back to the airport - Superb - v punctual at both ends of the journeys.
SunTransfers operate out of loads of airports around the Med and in S Europe - i did look on a review website first before using them and they constantly get v good reviews.
Regards

Never used either of the above but will check them out - normally use resorthoppa which is ~£9 pp each way

Just checked our booking with resorthoppa for May - it's £67 for 4 inc return. Sun Transfers just quoted €88 (= £76) so a bit more expensive, but it is a private transfer and they meet you at arrivals. If the pound goes up it would be even more competitive.
Resorthoppa is a shared 8 seater minibus - if you are the only ones then it's immediate meet and off, but normally we have to wait 20 mins for others who have luggage and you may have a drop off at Albufeira etc.
They also only pick you up at a hotel - we have one close by which is ideal, but if you are some way from one then you have the problem of getting from the drop off to yr place - then sun transfers would be ideal.
What does Simon charge?

From April 15th any transfer companys using the the A22 will be charged apx 10 euros in tolls each way to and from Faro when they enter the A22 in Lagoa, so u can be sure that there not going to support this, the customer is. so say a 4 person transfer is 55 euros thats going to jump to apx 65 euros or more.

We pay Simon about E100 for 7 of us dedicated aircon bus door to door...so pp charge looks comparable...not sure what the cost is for say 4 in a bus...im not too fussed about cost, I want to get on that bus and to the resort and get a beer!!
it will be interesting to see what they do about the tolls

(MAYBE) WRONG! just booked my resorthoppa for 2 visits in July and Aug - 2 people with return £32.10 (inc a 10% discount) for each visit - there are no additions so far for the journey. Maybe they are going to use the N125?

last time I used RH they had to call into Albufeira and used the 'back' road to Pera before returning to the 125, but in peak periods hopefully they will have enough customers for a direct run (maybe with alvor). I suspect they will stick to the 125.

Good luck to any transfer company that plans to use the EN 125 in peak season!!

The quickest (and definitely shortest) route from Albufeira to CVO is actually along the old rd alongside praia grande towards Pera and onto the N125 at Alcantarilha. I've checked this several times trying both ways. Similarly it's almost exactly the same time, but shorter, to leave the A22 at the Aramacao de Pera turn off, instead of the Silves turn off, to get to CVO
