Hi all,
I hope you can help. I've been asked if the supermarkets stock Cow & Gate baby food. I think they do, at least I am sure I saw it last time I was out, but can anyone confirm this?
Thank you!

Intermarche stocks most baby foods and brands of milk, including lactose free.

No you can't get Cow & Gate here but you can get Aptimil in any supermarket.

Hi,
I have been viewing your forum for some time and I also have a query on baby food.
We are visiting this Saturday for two weeks and my daughter has asked me to find out if any of the local shops stock SMA Gold for my 5 month old grandaughter.
Can anyone help?
A forever grateful Bill

Hi Bill,
Yes you can buy SMA gold at the "FARMACIA" at the square, you have to ask for it as it is behind the counter, the cost for a tin was €19.65 when we were there in April (a lot more expensive than at home). They also sell it at the pharmacy at Pao de acúcar in Lagoa, it is a little cheaper there. I think they sell it in all pharmacys but not in the supermarkets.
Hope they have a good holiday...

Cow & Gate milks are marketed under the brand name "Nutrilon" in the Algarve.
Nutrilon 1 2 & 3 are equivalent to Cow & Gate 1 2 & 3
Nutrilon Confort 1 & 2 are equivalent to Comfort 1 & 2
Nutrilon AR 1 & 2 are for babies with reflux
Nutrilon HA 1 & 2 are hypo-allergenic but are not soya based
The only reason I know this is, I did some research for a friend & kept a copy of the info.
Hope this helps.
