Was at VDM golf reception the other day when a young Irish Lad turned up in a 2009 english red BMW M series in a yellow visability jacket, saying that his team were working round the corner and had some spare tarmac and would they like it for their entrance.
The receptionest nicely said no thank you, and the lad left .
He then told me that this was not the first time they had been approched by foreigners trying this old con.
So watch out !

They are specially adapted in South Dublin – A mate of mine once told me about a bloke who used to do the rounds in Dublin saying he was from the Home Improvement wing of the IRA and if they didn’t give him some work, he would threaten to send a few of the boys round.
