Supermarkets and Car Hire

Hi, I'm arriving late one Saturday in October - I seem to remember the Intermarche is not open on a Sunday but last week in Tavira I found a Pingo Doce supermarket open 7 days til 9pm, does CVO have one nearby? I heard there is one near the Lagoa roundabout, true? Is it 7 days?
I'll want to hire a car in the village also, are they open Sunday mornings? Any recommendations? Cheap and cheerful car required.

Intermarche is now open on Sunday but closes at 13.00 but other supermarkets are open all day on Sundays. Pingo Doce in Lagoa is open until 21.00 or 22.00 on Sundays (in the summer), but may be earlier out of season. We tend to use this, Pao de Acucar or Modelo in Silves or Portimao.

Not sure about the car hire companies in the village but we now always use Economy Car Hire from the airport and found them reliable and good value.
