I have met Daisy . . . .

. . . . and she is looking very good.

This is how Daisy looks today:

And this is how she looked in June 2008:

Thanks to lots of TLC Daisy is now a completely different dog. She's been well cared for and has been at the vets many times. Daisy is going back to the vets on the 23rd of Jan for blood tests to see if the Rabies jab has taken properly, and if it has 6 months later that she will be going to live in the UK with her new owners.

Without saying whom, I think all pet owners would like to thank our friends for their care, patience and love they've shown Daisy. It's heartwarming to know that such people care about animals.

No doubt further photos of Daisy will follow when she gets to her new, UK, home.

Daisy is settling in so well at Andy's house that she's even ousted Jasper from his bed :P

As soon as she's been to the vets for her rabies I'll let you know if she'll be moving to the UK or not.

Jasper is very old and a little poorly. He's a smashing dog, really friendly and great with children.

I think Andy and his family deserve a medal. He doesn't have a big house out in the countryside, just a modest villa almost in the centre of the village, yet with little space and with a dog of their own they took in Daisy and cared for her. I know folk with bigger villas and plenty more space that could have helped Andy out but they didn't offer, only paid lip-service to Daisy's plight.

It is Andy's neighbours, Brendan and Sheila who paid for (most?) of Daisy's vet bills and it is they that hope to take her back to the UK where they live. Daisy is a lucky pup to have found such caring people.
